-19.00-19.50: «Big Data for Internet of Things», Dmitry Orekhov, EPAM
Internet of Things is like a buzzword today, but it's really interesting and promising technology domain, not only «smart kettles». In our Epam Garage we are working on several IoT projects and about 9 months ago it demanded to build a separate solution – IoT Platform and take care about data which are ingested from our devices.
IoT data is pretty specific: a very large amount of it, they are time-series, security demands data provenance and they are very often are bidirectional. To answer these needs, market provides a several solutions for Storage, routing, analytics and so on. Working on our platform, we get some experience in InfluxDB, Apache NiFi, in using Spark for analytics. Today I would like to share our experience with you.
