Ciklum Practice Leaders: “Product owner challenges: how to survive with distributed team” by Pascal Schudel and Irina Teteruk

Nearshoring and Agile software development are currently very hot topics and most West European companies, having a need for developing software, lately thought about it. But what is required to successfully set up such a project? What are the pitfalls?

One of the software development process cornerstones is product ownership. According to agile approach in software development Product Owner is the person responsible for a project’s success. The Product Owner leads the development effort by conveying the vision to the team, outlining work in the product backlog, and prioritizing it based on business value.


On Tuesday (April, 28) at 19.00 Ciklum Minsk invites you to Ciklum Practice Leaders: Management and Communication meet up that will be focused on the approaches and practices of effective product ownership while working with distributed development teams!

The meeting will be hosted by two experienced practitioners Irina Teteruk (Ciklum, Belarus) and Pascal Schudel (Trivadis AG, Switzerland).

During the meeting Irina and Pascal will talk about their experience and best practices of product ownership. The speakers will present a comparative analysis of Scrum theories and real project situations, e.g. slicing and splitting of user stories, sprint length or release planning.

Irina and Pascal will also tell about the setup of their project and how two teams from Switzerland and Belarus are working remotely. They will show which tools they are using for collaboration and exchange of information, e.g. ticketing/bug tracking or requirements specifications. In addition they will give an introduction to the organizational processes that enable effective collaboration.
